Canadian Ribbon Bars

Description A no-bake refridgerated treat!

24 bars

1/2 cup soft butter

1/2 cup chopped nuts

5 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

5 tablespoons cocoa

1 cup ccconut

2 cups finely crushed graham crackers

4 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons milk

2 tablespoons vanilla pudding mis

2 cups powdered sugar

4 squares semi-sweet chocolate

1 tablespoon butter

Methods/steps

1. Mix together the first five ingredients and set the bowl in a bowl of hot water. (Mix your ingredients in a smaller bowl and put hot water in a larger bowl. Set the ingredients bowl in the hot water tand beat with a spoon to help thicken the liquid.)

2. Stir until consistancy of custard.

3. Add the coconut and graham crackers to the above mixture.

4. Put in 9 X 13 inch pan.

5. Mix together the next 4 ingredients (4 T butter, 3 T. milk, 2 T vanilla pudding mix and 2 cups powdered sugar).

6. Allow to harden.

7. Melt 4 square semi-sweet chocolate and 1 T butter in microwave.

8. Spread over top of hardened filling.

9. Refridgerate.

Additional Tips
Note: 6 double graham crackers = 1 cup crumbs.
