1. Melt butter
2. Blend in flour and seasonings.
3. Gradually add milk.
4. Microwave on high for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring after 4 minutes.
5. Layer half of potatoes, onion and sauce in greased 2 quart casserole. Repeat layers.
6. Cover and microwave on high 17 to 19 minutes.
7. Remove from oven & let stand 5 minutes before serving.
8. If desired, sprinkle top with paprika and/or 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheese after cooking. Cheese melts as casserole stands.
