Ho Ho Bars

Bars:

1/2 cup melted butter

1/2 cup oil

2 eggs

2 cups sugar

1 cup water

1/2 cup sour milk

2 cups flour

3 Tablespoons cocoa

1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

 

Filling:

1 cup sugar

1 cup crisco

1 Tablesppon water

1/4 teasppon salt

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

 

Frosting:

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup milk

6 Tablespoons butter

Methods/steps

Bars:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Cream oil, melted butter, eggs and sugar, add liquid and dry ingredients alternately.

3. Pour into a greased jelly roll pan (11X14X2).

4. Bake 25 to 30 minutes.

 

Filling:

1. In a big mixer bowl, mix together all ingredients and beat for 5 minutes or until fluffy.

2. Add 1 cup puwdered sugar - beat well and spread on bars.

3. Refridgerate until frosting is ready.

 

Frosting:

1. Heat sugar, milk and butter in pan. Bring to a boil and boil ONE minute.

2. Remove from heat and add 1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips and beat well with wooden spoon .

3. Cool slightly and slowly pour by spoonfuls on cooled cake. (Need to work quickly, cause it thickens quite fast.)

4. Refridgerate. Cut into bars when cool.
